My husband just bought me a PS5 for my birthday, with 2 controllers so we can play together. All the multiplayer games I've found though are online only as opposed to local. Can anyone recommend any games that we can play together from the one console?

Resident Evil 5 should be playable on PS5. It's an Action Third Person Shooter game but a fun cooperative experience with a friend. Mercenaries as well. Resi6 also has coop but, hmm, 6 has some issues that don't gel well with a lot of people. You can not move while aiming, and I know that's a make or break for some.
